The Totem Curse- Chapter 14: An Unlikely Hero Part 2

Continued From Chapter 13…

A few days later, Poppy found herself on Counterfeit Island. Apparently, an art thief who had  1,000 different villain names, now currently being called Black Widow was planning to steal “The Scream.” She started to find out clues and stuff like that to stop Black Widow before she would do her evil plans.

At one point, a little boy walked up to her with his mom.

Boy: “WAHHHHH!!!!! I WANT A GREEN BALLOON!!!! NOT A RED ONE!!!!”

Mom: “Tommy! You’re 7 years old. You’re embarrassing us in public!”

Boy: “MOM!!! YOU ARE SUCH A JERK!!! I WANT A GREEN BALLOON NOW!!!”

Mom: “Tommy!?! How dare you say something like that to your own mother! You are in big trouble when we get home.”

Boy: “So you’re just gonna ground me? Even though I’m 7, I know a lot more than you think. You’re way too old school.”

Mom: “THAT’S IT.”

Tommy started to cry again.

Poppy: “It’s OK. I actually have a spare balloon. See?”

She blows up the balloon and gives it to Tommy.

Tommy then flies away.

Poppy: “Um…er…I’m sorry, Mrs.-”

Tommy’s Mom: “THANK YOU SO MUCH!!! I AM FINALLY FREE FROM THAT CHILD!!!”

Poppy: “Wait what?”

Tommy’s Mom: “Never mind. YOU are in BIG TROUBLE, missy.”

Poppy: “Um…I’ll be right back…”

She ran away as fast as possible.

The next day, a person at the museum gave her a painting with a secret code on it.It told her to go back to EARLY POPTROPICA. Poppy couldn’t go back. If she did, her parents would find her. The museum was less than a minute away from her apartment. But she couldn’t give up now!

When she got there, she saw her sister, Daisy, walking right into the Pop Art museum. Now what was she going to do? Then she remembered- she still had her invisibility suit from when she saved Spy Island. She put it on and sneaked into the museum. When her sister finally left, she took it off and talked who the curator, who gave her a key.

Using the key, she found Black Widow’s secret lair, and with the help of that shady dude, she saved the art and defeated Black Widow, who then got arrested.

After that, she somehow ended up winning the Reality TV Island show. But when she left…

Poppy: “Where to next?”

Since she was staring at her map, trying to decide where she should go, she didn’t see Balloon Boy fly right into the blimp.

Balloon Boy: “HAHAHAHA SUCKER!!!!!”

Balloon Boy then pushed Poppy out of the blimp and rode in it himself, letting go of that green balloon he wanted so badly.

Poppy: “Oh no.”

Poppy then started falling. She thought she would land in the middle of the ocean, but instead she landed in some giant tree. The Tree of Immortality. When she landed, she accidentally picked the Golden Apple…

Zeus: “WHO DARES TO PICK THE GOLDEN APPLE OF IMMORTALITY!?!”

Poppy: “I didn’t mean to! I swear!”

Zeus: “I don’t care, mortal.”

Poppy: “I just…”

Zeus: “You just want to be immortal like me?”

Poppy: “Well, no, but I guess now I do.”

Zeus hands her a scroll.

Zeus: “Then go get me all of these sacred items, and you’ll be a goddess! I promise!”

Poppy: “Actually, I don’t really want to anymore…”

Zeus: “IF YOU DON’T THEN ALL OF POPTROPICA WILL FEEL MY WRATH!!!”

Poppy: “OK, I guess?!?”

Zeus: “You’re even worse than that Dr. Bill Nye guy…”

Poppy: “Dr….who!?!”

Zeus: “Never mind. Just go get those items and give them to me when you have them all.”

Zeus then disappeared.

So, for the rest of the day, Poppy went and got all of the sacred objects. She almost died like 5 times, but she was fine in the end.

By the time she got all of them, it was very late at night. When she went back to the Tree of Immortality to give them to Zeus, Athena stopped her.

Athena: “Well, I should really tell you something before you go give those to my dad…”

Poppy: “What?”

Athena: “Whoever wields all of the sacred objects will rule all of Poptropica!”

Poppy: “How’s that bad? That means I rule…wait what!?!”

Just then Zeus appeared and stole them from her.

So, she had to defeat him. And she did just in time. He said that he would start to destroy Poptropica at midnight, and she defeated him at 11:59 pm.

After that, Balloon Boy gave the blimp back. Poppy handed him another green balloon and laughed as he was once again stuck floating in the sky.

Then it was off to Skullduggery. She had to go on some super long trading quest that should have taken 60 some days, but she got the Phoenix Warbird in 2 days by stealing all of the mayor’s money to buy it. She sure got off that island the second after Captain Crawfish was defeated.

Poppy: “It’s been too crazy these past few days. Maybe I should go relax on Steamworks Island…seems like a pretty peaceful place”

Poppy then landed her blimp on Main Street on Steamworks. The whole island had been abandoned.

Poppy: “Maybe this is too peaceful…”

Meanwhile…

Dr. Hare sat in his Rabbot, which was kinda stuck in Planet Poptropica’s orbit. However, an asteroid came and hit the Rabbot, causing it to fly out into deep space.

Dr. Hare: “What’s that?!? Is that some portal thingy on an asteroid over there?”

The Crystal Gate. Poppy had used it to get to Binary Bard’s fortress, but the portal never shut off when she left.

The Rabbot flew straight into the portal.

Dr. Hare: “AHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!”

P.S.- Sorry that the part about defeating Zeus was so short. That was the last part I wrote, and when I did, a terrible thunderstorm started and I was scared that the power would go out, so I needed to post this quickly. I’m not even joking. xD
