Hey guys, so tonight I was just on the PHC when I saw some people talking about how Club Penguin (well, the PC version) is going to shut down and be replaced with a new, mobile-only game this spring…
Am I the only one seeing the connection…?
What if the only reason the islands are gonna be renamed to “worlds” is because Club Penguin stole the term for themselves?
Also, apparently this “Club Penguin Island” thing was announced back in November 2016…no wonder New Pop/Pop Worlds got delayed. Not only that, but both of these games are (sort of) replacements of an original game, and they’re both releasing in the spring of 2017. (Or did Club Penguin Island already release? I don’t even know because I really do not like CP…)
Let’s just say, Club Penguin and Poptropica have been getting compared by fans for a very, very long time, so I wouldn’t be surprised if the game developers themselves are starting to compete against one another.
So, do you think Poptropica and Club Penguin have a secret rivalry going on, or is this just a pure coincidence? Let me know in the comments, because I may just make a dedicate a much longer theory post to the Poptropica-Club Penguin conflict…after the Theory Thursdays Groundhog Day special, of course.
Anyways, I’ll see ya in the next post!
